Definition - விளக்கம்

An adjective is a word that adds something to the meaning of a noun or pronoun

பெயர்ச்சொல் அல்லது பிரதிபெயர்ச்சொல்லைத்  தழுவி அதன் உட்பொருளை அதிகப்படுத்துதல் 

Kinds of adjectives: (பெயர் உரிச்சொல் வகைகள் )

1. Adjectives of quality - பண்பைக் குறிப்பது

Eg: tall, faithful, good
உயரமான , நம்பிகையான, நல்ல 

2. Adjectives of quantity-அளவைக் குறிப்பது

Few, much, little
சில, அதிகமான , குறைவான 

3. Adjectives of number(how many ) - எண்ணிகையை குறிப்பது

One, two, three, many, most,
ஒன்று, இரண்டு, மூன்று, நிறைய, மிகையான
 

Note: the same adjective may be classified as of quantity or number according to its use

ஒரே உரிச்சொல் அளவைக் காட்டுவதாகவும், எண்ணிக்கையைக் காட்டுவத்ஹகவும் அமையலாம் 

Adjectives of quantity
Eg:
1. I ate some rice
2. She has lost all her property
3. Some children are kind
4. All men must take care of th their family

4. Proper adjectives (that describes a person or thing of proper noun)

Eg:
The Indian army

Demonstrative adjectives ( it points out the person or thing)
Eg:
This child
These girls
That book
Those people

Distributive adjectives:
Each girl,  every student, either side, neither town

Interrogative adjectives are used for asking questions.
Eg:
Which course do you need?
What is this?

Possessive adjectives
Eg:
My, our, your, his, her, its, their
